<p ALIGN="JUSTIFY">The Suldal Cemetery belongs to the East Lemonweir Lutheran Church. The
cemetery is located on Suldal Road in Lindina Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin. It is on
the left, one-half mile before reaching Johnson Road.</p>

<p ALIGN="JUSTIFY">Nels Benson (Nels Bjornson Farastad, Rauland, Telemark) donated the
first piece of land in 1855. In 1919, Gunder Johnson (1870-1926) and his wife donated a
second piece at the south end. In 1979, Gerhard O. Johnson gave three acres on the north
end. This list is in alphabetical order by family group with row numbers taken from the
Juneau County Genealogy Society <i>Cemeteries Book 5</i>, pages 676-681. The biographical
material has been taken from the <i>Juneau County, Wisconsin Bygdebok; A Genealogy of the
Norwegian Settlers, 1850-1950</i> by Lawrence W. Onsager. This cemetery is a cultural
artifact that records a small part of the story of the Norwegians in America.</p>
